Justin and the kids have been doing some work in the yard while I'm at work on the weekends. Luckily we've had some really nice days to get out and enjoy the sunshine. Our tree bloomed a couple of weeks ago and Justin managed to get a few cute pics of the kiddos with it.
We decided to plant some veggies and flowers from seeds this year since the kids have been so curious about it. It started with some pumpkin seeds the Easter Bunny brought Kevin and ever since the sprouted this past weekend, that's about all they can talk about. Here are some pictures from our planting this afternoon. Now all we need to do is figure out where we're going to have our garden. Looks like we'll need a dog run!
After two months of anticipation, the guys finally got to make their trek to Bandon in Joe's new motorhome. They played two of the three courses on Friday and Saturday. Judging by the pictures, videos and stories, I think they had a great time.
Monday was my mom's birthday so the kids and I went down for the afternoon to visit. For those of you who don't know...Grace has always called my mom Grandma Curly Hair and it stuck:) They have that trait in common:) Here are some pictures from the day...
Well, after almost losing Grace at school pickup today (long story), we came home and had a fun afternoon while Kevin was napping. It was another sunny, warm day in Portland! She rode her scooter and bike, collected rocks, drew with chalk, and then decided to take a little rest on her Care Bear rugs in the driveway:)
I run because someday I won't be able to. Someday, I'll put on my running shoes and try to run, but my legs won't do it. Someday, I'll have to walk. For now, I run because it makes me feel good. It makes my kids proud of me. It keeps my butt at an acceptable size. For now, I will push my body and my mind to the limit because I can. Because the "me" that makes me happiest is a runner. And she rocks!
